Abstract

Recent advances in human embryo culture and revised guidelines from the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) give grounds for extending the 14-day limit. To prepare for any possible future change in China's regulation, we propose a path toward cautious extension with strict oversight, balancing scientific progress with ethical responsibility. © 2025
